A great checkpoint for your follow through is that your body is facing the target and you're up on your back toe. The photo would show that my student's belly button or 'zipper' is facing straight down the middle of the fairway. The thought of pointing the zipper of your trousers to the target is a good idea for beginning your downswing with your lower body. Turning your hips or shifting your weight is much the same thing but I think the thought of the zipper is easier.
Many high handicappers start down with their arms and end up falling over backwards as they hit the ball. They only use their arms and never get the weight and power of their legs into the shot. Watch the pros on TV and you'll see that every one of them ends up in this correct position and you should too.
